Opportunity Center – Sterling

Since 1994, INMED Partnerships for Children’s Loudoun County programs have served the most vulnerable children and families in the community where we have established our global headquarters.

The Healthy Families Loudoun program’s intensive, long-term home visiting and case management services are targeted toward helping families build a foundation for success, where the outcomes of our work are evident in stronger, more self-reliant families, a healthier community, and children who enter school ready to learn and succeed.

Our Spanish-language Parent Education and Support Groups that provide at-risk families with the opportunity to overcome social isolation and strengthen parenting, coping, relationship and life skills. Participants receive emotional and practical support, direct assistance in accessing community resources culturally and linguistically appropriate education in six key areas:

  • Positive parenting
  • Preventing family violence
  • Building strong relationships
  • Child health and development
  • Adult health and well-being
  • Personal and family capacity building/life skills, such as financial literacy

During classes, children are engaged in developmentally appropriate activities that also build socialization and language skills.

Our Workforce Development Program offers opportunities for adults to learn a trade or skill that helps them enter the workforce with skills and experience to succeed. Classes can include: cooking class, floral and fruit arrangement classes, jewelry making class and ESL Classes.
