At INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center in Sterling, VA, USA, children returning to our after-school academic enrichment program for the new school year were treated to a brand new reading and research library. It’s one of many changes that occurred over the summer to provide exciting and motivating spaces and opportunities for learning and development among low-income children, youth and adults. Children who achieve academic improvement, book reading and book report writing goals by the end of the school year will be rewarded with a Kindle, telescope or microscope of their choice.
