Just ask Ana Julia, who attends Claudette Silva Vecchi—a Health in Action school in Bauru, Brazil.
“I was very happy and excited when I learned that my class would participate in the project at the garden,” says Ana. “We have already planted lettuce and beets. I’m making a small garden at home with my mother and asked my school’s garden keeper for three tomato seedlings to plant in my home garden. Now I eat more vegetables and can’t wait to harvest the tomatoes.”
