Thank you to Virginia Delegate David Reid (32nd District) and Sterling District Supervisor Koran Saines for visiting the children in INMED’s after-school academic program at our Opportunity Center in Sterling, VA. Del. Reid shared his story of growing up in poverty and overcoming adversity to become a successful and dedicated public servant. Supervisor Saines also shared his story of growing up in Sterling and inspired the children to work hard to achieve their dreams, despite difficult circumstances.
Community partners Lara Major of 100WomenStrong, Network Nova’s Renise Leresche, Virginia Regional Transit (VRT) CEO Bruce Simms, VRT Operations Director Phil Thompson and VRT Loudoun Area Transit Manager Eric Levdahl also toured the Opportunity Center to see how their ongoing support is helping at-risk children and families in need.
