Families in Virginia, including those receiving assistance from INMED’s MotherNet/Healthy Families Loudoun program, need your help.
Governor Bob McDonnell has proposed MORE cuts to Healthy Families, proven home visiting programs that reduce the number of babies born too early, prevent child abuse, teach low-income parents how to be their child’s first and best teacher, and to ensure that children start school healthy and ready to learn.
Legislators haven’t heard enough about Healthy Families funding.
Please call your Virginia delegates (House Appropriations Health and Human Resources Subcommittee) and senators (Senate Health and Human Resources Subcommittee) today and ask them to restore funding for Healthy Families home visiting programs.
Ask delegates to support restoration of funding for Healthy Families Item#3431h.
Ask senators to support restoration of funding for Healthy Families Item#343#10s.
