Watch the transformation of an overgrown field at Canzibe Primary, an INMED Health in Action (HIA) school in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. This is a typical example of how our HIA program promotes nutrition and health by establishing school gardens, in addition to leading fun recess-time physical activities and lessons on healthy lifestyles. Our team at INMED South Africa provided training to a community food gardener at the school, as well as garden tools and seeds. After only three months, the school has been benefiting from bountiful crops of spinach and onions, which are harvested twice a week to contribute to the school’s meals program.
