INMED is honored to be selected for Round 8 of the Saving Lives at Birth Grand Challenge, which aims to scale existing innovations and source new ideas to save the lives of pregnant women and newborns around the time of birth. INMED is partnering with Little Sparrows Technologies to implement the Bilikit for the screening, diagnosis and treatment of neonatal jaundice throughout Peru. Jaundice is the most common condition requiring medical attention in newborns. Severe neonatal jaundice can cause permanent neurological damage or even death—yet babies go unscreened and untreated for lack of accessible methods and equipment, especially in remote regions of Peru.
