Community health workers in Chã de Alegria, Pernambuco, Brazil and @inmedbrasil are taking action against Aedes aegypti, the mosquito that transmits dengue, chikungunya, zika and yellow fever. The CHWs have been instrumental in educating the local population about simple ways to prevent mosquito-borne infection, such as eliminating or covering outdoor items that collect water and become breeding grounds for mosquitos.
