Marcus Sewell once thought his dream of combining his love of farming with his affinity for technology was just a pipe dream. Severe climate-change events have been driving farmers out of the agriculture business for years.
Today, Marcus is applying for a loan to launch his own agribusiness, thanks to INMED and its partners. Through our Increasing Access to Climate-Smart Agriculture program in Jamaica, Marcus and other emerging entrepreneurs are receiving technical training in aquaponics, along with coaching in business plan development, access to financing, links to markets and ongoing technical support from INMED-trained agriculture extension agents.
