INMED CEO Linda Pfeiffer Interviewed on South African TV

In this interview on South Africa’s Growing Tomorrow—AgriTV program, INMED Partnerships for Children President and CEO Linda Pfeiffer explains the concept of aquaponics, an innovative food production system, and how INMED is using it. INMED implements a simplified, low-cost version of aquaponics for small farmers in impoverished rural communities, and it recently partnered with Air Products in South Africa to launch the sustainable food system at a Technical High School in Vanderbijlpark. Students at the school, the majority of whom are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, study agriculture and with this system in place will learn how to grow food in a supportable and ecological way.

INMED’s South African aquaponics projects will also be featured at the international Harvest the Future conference in Montego Bay, Jamaica on September 21-24, 2014.
