INMED Brasil’s Healthy Children, Healthy Futures program

The students in INMED Brasil’s Healthy Children, Healthy Futures program at Our Lady of Nazareth in Nova Mutum, Porto Velho, Rondônia were excited to receive achievement certificates for their solar water filtration sciensce projects. You can imagine their surprise when they also received new bicycles from program sponsor Engie Foundation.

Five students presented the results of their Healthy Children, Healthy Futures project to Gerard Mestrallet, President of the Engie Group Council and World President of Engie Foundation, several Engie directors, INMED Brasil Executive Director Joyce Capelli and representatives of the municipal education department.

INMED Brasil’s Healthy Children, Healthy Futures program promotes healthy growth and development through an integrated program of education about good nutrition, preventive health habits and hygiene measures that help prevent disease; and empowering children through interactive activities to put the lessons they have learned into action to improve the health and quality of life of their families and communities.

The program is supported by Engie Foundation and Sustainable Energy of Brazil (ESBR) and has Porto Velho government support in the districts of Jaci-Paraná, Nova Mutum Paraná, Mutum Paraná, and Abunan and the fortress of Abunan.
