Our team at INMED Brasil is uniting families around healthy eating through our Crescer Saudavel (Growing Healthy) program for preschools in Petrolina, Brazil. Last week, children and their parents learned that they don’t need a lot of space to grow healthy, nutritious food. This mother and daughter created a hanging garden out of a 1-liter plastic soda bottle. The group also learned how to disinfect water in a clear plastic bottle using only sunlight. These inexpensive and innovative activities are just a few of the Crescer Saudavel strategies to promote better nutrition and healthy lifestyle education in 125 preschools in Petrolina in partnership with the Monsanto Fund.
