INMED Andes is on a mission to save the lives of mothers and newborns in Peru. Last week, our team provided training to health personnel in obstetric and neonatal emergency response in two communities of Ucayali, where maternal and infant mortality rates are higher than the national norm. INMED Andes also regularly delivers similar training to volunteer community health agents in remote areas to increase awareness of the signs of pre- and post-natal complications and how to respond appropriately to save lives.
