Let’s hear it for the lunch ladies! Our Growing Healthy program with the Monsanto Fund in Petrolina, Brazil is making an impact on health. A recent midline evaluation of our school food preparer training reveals a 24% increase in knowledge of nutrition, food safety, hygiene and preventive health (increasing from 66% to 82%) among those surveyed. These unsung heroines of health are on the front line of improving the lives of more than 13,000 preschool children in Petrolina.
