In the past few years, INMED Brasil’s Health in Action and Healthy Children, Healthy Futures programs have supported the planting of hundreds of school gardens to not only provide fresh produce for students’ meals but to serve as teaching tools for outdoor educational activities. Many of these students have helped their own families plant home gardens for more nutritious meals and for additional income.
INMED Brasil is a shining example of how INMED Partnerships for Children is building healthy children, thriving families, and sustainable communities around the world. Special thanks to INMED’s supporters in Brazil, including the Mondelēz International Foundation, the Monsanto Fund, Johnson & Johnson, GDF Suez, Cargill, General Mills, United Way, GDF Suez, Tractebel Energia and Fundação Engie among many others. We still have much more work to do to build sustainable, healthy communities.
