Congratulations to our team at INMED Caribbean, who held their first training workshop for INMED’s new Increasing Access to Climate-Smart Agriculture (IACA) program in Jamaica. This 4-year initiative is providing access to financing and markets, training and technical assistance to help small-scale farmers, women and youth start aquaponics enterprises.
The first workshop trained community agents of Jamaica’s Rural Agricultural Development Authority, who will help identify emerging farmers for the program and provide ongoing technical assistance to ensure program sustainability. This workshop, combined with an online prequalification process, will help aquaponics entrepreneurs and smallholder farmers qualify for affordable loans from participating financial institutions.
IACA is made possible via partnerships with #MICAF #MEGJC @CaribbeanDevelopmentBank @IADB.org @RADA_jam
