Reduce Food Waste

Did you know that mindful eating includes reducing food waste? Here’s a great way to start. It’s a recipe for banana peel cake that our clever team at INMED Para Crianças shares with school food preparers.

Ingredients:

2 cups banana peel
1½ cups water
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
2½ cups of sugar (less if desired)
3 cups wheat flour
5 tablespoons butter
2 tsp of baking powder
Powdered sugar

A Harvard study revealed that healthier students make better learners, and the more physical fitness tests children passed, the better they did on academic tests.
