Aquaponics is an innovative farming technique that combines aquaculture (fish farming) with hydroponics (soilless crop production) into a closed system that is resilient to erratic and destructive climate change events. INMED has developed a simple, scalable and low-cost system that can provide year-round produce and fish.
INMED’s latest initiative in Jamaica is providing access to financing, technical assistance and market access to small-scale farmers, women and youth. This 4-year program involves extensive technical training with certified experts, as well as direct guidance on financing, business planning, marketing, financial management and connecting to stable markets for the goods.
